A letter from SAFE KIDS. "Thank you so much for the grant from The Jonathan Foundation to provide the Survival Swimming Lessons for children in Cabarrus County. We had 55 children participate in this highly successful program. In three days, the children learned basic swim techniques, how to rescue a friend with a noodle and a life preserver, how to comfortably wear and use a life preserver and how to get from the deep end to the side of the pool without assistance. By our account, less than 5% of these children had ever had any swim instruction, much less life saving technique education. Because of your generosity, these children will have the skills they need to be safe in the water for a lifetime."
A letter from Ketchmore Kids "Over the past 10 months or so, Ketchmore Kids has been able to provide many different levels of Triple P to parents and families in Cabarrus County. The materials to provide these services are expensive, and due to funding received from the Jonathan Thacker Foundation in 2016, we have been able to increase the number of families we are able to reach. The funding we received went directly towards purchasing Triple P implementation resources for our Triple P Providers, and we are forever grateful to you all! The mission of Ketchmore Kids is to provider hope, healing, and peace of mind for youth and families. With your help, we have been able to continue to work towards our mission! The feedback that we have received from families lets us know that our work is making a difference. Thank you for helping us! |
